Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. It is the branch with a lot of diversity from geotechnical sciences to structural engineering, environmental to hydraulics, transportation to hydrology; Civil Engineering can be considered as a single largest branch among all the engineering branches, extending across many technical specializations.
The Department of Civil Engineering since its formation is committed to research and development in civil engineering. The vision of the department is to give an exposure to budding civil technocrats to various challenges in the profession. The Department also encourages its students to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, essential for development, nurturing of team spirit, and developing organizational skills. The department encourages faculty to disseminate the practical knowledge to student community by involving them in various consultancy projects. Currently department offers under graduate program with an intake of 60 students.

Greetings! To the Civil Engineering Students of MTIET Our Department is one of the Oldest disciplines of Engineering that carries out research and teaching in a professional way of applying Mathematics and Science that deals with Structural Designing, Construction and maintenance in a wide range of related areas also focuses on linking improvements in fundamental understanding to direct industrial application and the development of guidance suitable for engineering practice in the built environment.
Among the reasons why our graduates are such favorites of industry is the consistent hands-on experience-based approach of our curriculum, our excellent laboratories, the long-time connections between Department and the industry.
The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, seminar halls and smart classrooms towards fulfilling these objectives.
The Department has a team of sincere, dedicated, competent and experienced faculty with commitment to serve the college in achieving its goals. All have completed their Masters Degree and some of them are pursuing Ph.D.s.
